Taking a Break     Framed

It looks surreal looming over the stock barn at the entrance of the Kingsville Livestock Auction. For a horse there for the first time this gigantic sculpture of a bull could be very scary.

This painting is about the behind-the-scene activities that most people do not see...the horses that work the livestock. It is such a vigorous job for the horses that cowboys bring more than one horse to work the cattle. This horse is getting a well-deserved break. The horse appears calm beside the sculpture.
